Trivial to change the signature

Well lets see - have a program that shifts the value of each byte in the song by 1 to the right or left. I.e. Trivial decryption.

Result- not even a playable mp3 but the real data is easily recoverable.

I can now make MP3's all day long with my new $129 Mp3/FM Radio->Mp3 encoder. It is unbelievably trivial. Just press record.

The radio companies just do not get it. If we can HEAR THE SONG WE CAN MAKE AN MP3 OF IT.

They need to get in the business of making it easy for us to get the songs at a cheap price.

I.e. You pay for a lifetime liscence- they record that fact- and now you can download the song from them forever. So as you lose it or new media comes out you are covered. You pay a tiny annual maintenance fee to maintain your license information (10 cents a song per year- 3 bucks minimum, 20 bucks maximum).
