Remember, I'd been commenting on the overlooking of Mr. Connors' statements in earlier posts. You've given your own ideas on the current situation, and they're worth considering.
I think Microsoft has a chance to be increasingly successful over the next few years because of the number of businesses intending to get out of inhouse IT. But we'll see what happens.
About open source, remember that if a substantial portion of its workers decide to stop being exploited for free work, it goes away.
