Last time I checked he is legally allowed to time shift and
space shift the content he's recorded. Which means he
can copy a show and bring it over to a friend's house to
watch. Can you do that with DVDs burned on your media
center PC? How about your buddy who missed that all
important episode of "Friends"? Can you loan him the
DVD you burned to watch on his tv?
