Wait for what?

Good grief! Novell spins off some companies and lays off employees that will then be hired by the spin-offs, and you guys are all ready to declare Novell's untimely death!

The fact they're laying people off isn't the issue...

From the story:

Novell is under increasing financial pressure, particularly after the company reported third-quarter results in August in which revenue dropped 5 percent to $290 million and net income dropped 91 percent to $2.1 million.

The fact that their income has dropped 91%, however, IS a cause for concern. That $2.1 million is only NINE PERCENT of what they were making before.
