Food poisoning
"Serious though, some one from a9dgha@yahoo.com sends you a attachment that's an exe but claims it's a video of Paris Hilton and you automatically open it??? That's a stupid as eating that half hot dog you see on the street with mold on it and wonder why you got food poisoning. That's just stupid."

What's the harm? Admittedly, I don't waste time on the spam (except to tune my filters) but the worm-mail is harmless. It's just a binary attachment, and the mail client asks me if I want to save it to a file or open it (dialog box for application to open file.)

Now, admittedly, my mail clients don't confuse "open" with "execute." I'm funny about that kind of thing. Personally I'd consider any MUA that executed attachments fundamentally broken and anyone who used crapware like that to be (speaking charitably) of dubious judgment. Sort of like browsers that execute junk off the Web -- no way am I going to have garbage like that on any of my systems.

Then again, I only use software from sources who understand fundamental design issues like that and wouldn't be caught dead producing software that broken -- so it all comes out OK.
