Business is calling all the shots now....
I wrote to my congressman when last H1-B bill came up and you can see what this did. Average joe is simply not represented anymore. Congress realizes where most there dollars will come from in the next election cycle and it is hard to compete with big business - they simply have a larger megaphone.

At this point I think things will only change with a major economic depression - $60 oil, rising interest rates with inflation, record trade and fiscal deficits, real estate bubble, poor employment environment..... Folks next few years could be a very rough ride!
