I don't think Rotibi got it right
I've been reading up on Indigo and I don't think htat Rotibi got it right. They are working on connecting XML data directly to controls (without a dataset) but it still seems like to me that you have to deal with the XML directly more often with Indigo than you have to deal with any low level data format now.

The power of this concept (if it has any) is in its ability of any one component in an n-tier system to interoperate with 1.) future versions of the same application space without rolling out completely new versions of all the components, 2.) as yet unforseen additions to that utilize the component, and 3.) SOAP, WSDL based services implemented with whoever's (read non-microsoft) environment (java/J2EE most likely).
