HP tried to resell Apple iPods...
They failed. People wanted the real deal and wouldn't be satisfied with a rebadged original.

HP seen the end of the Mini line and the iPod line and decided to jump out while they still managed to sell very little.

But Apple is overly defensive of their market that they created. I wouldn't be surprised if their pride is once again their downfall.
