Max: facts vs. opinion
I am always amused by those who admit they don't use a Mac
but feel qualified to deny claims made by actual users as
"opinions, not facts." The fact is that very, very little in Windows
is or was not a copy, albeit belatedly, of a feature or attribute of
the Mac OS. Remember how it took MS ten (10!) years to get past
the limitation of 8 characters in a file name?

Search seems to be a vital part of the alleged Vista--but it has
long been a vital part of the Mac OS, from the early Find that
searched the hard drive for file or app names, to the various
versions of Sherlock that for years has been searching user's
hard drives AND the Internet. Tiger introduced Spotlight earlier
this year that searches for content (yes, inside your files) in your
hard drive, from documents to music or video files, and almost
instantaneously since it indexes in the background. It is always
available--and any user can also right-click (or Command-click)
for instant access to Google. Do you expect to find such choice
in Windows? And, as has already been pointed out, the basic
GUI and the latest in appearance of Windows, and Vista, are
obviously copied directly from the Mac OS.
It's kind of pathetic, folks. Oh, yes, Apple only charges $129
retail for their new OS package, and much less in quantity and
for education markets.

Hey, did you catch Apple's announcement today (third big one in
six weeks!) that included a dual chip, dual core G5 Quad that
runs at over 76 gigaflops? It sells for over $2,000 LESS than a
comparably equipped Dell, and it comes with lots of useful
software, while Dell...does not.
