I gotta say...

I know there will be the masses crying M$ S*cks. But going back to article, I will NEVER be a happy "day one" user. I will, as usual, wait 6 -7 months for release 2 (just because I KNOW there will be a release 2). I CANNOT - WILL NOT trust Microsoft to come out with a complete loophole free version the first time. Just the fact that they are adding new options/renovations tells me that this will be as undependable as W2K which has (how many service packs - Oh yea - 4). XP was simply a merger of W2K and 98 and should have been a rather simple transition to take the best of both and combine them (the tough part was to make software from each OS all work in XP). It doesn't take a rocket scientists to see that it should have been easier to make XP than "Vista". How will they convince me that I can use Vista out of the box and be secure - THEY CAN'T!

PS I hope Linux continues to remain a force in the OS world, but, I am too stupid to get a version working on my PC at home let alone try to educate co-workers and get it running at work. Besides I have a bunch of "I don't want to change types where I work (can't teach old dogs new tricks)

As a further note, I'd like to get away from Ofice( coasts our small company too much) but I deal with address lists of (sometimes) over 100,000 - what other spreadsheet handles lists that large (I can split them as text and do 65+ thousand at a time in Excel)? I am open to more options just haven't found any - and don't tell me that it can be done in a database because the manipulation is not the same (not to mention the fact that I have a program that will append one cell to another and proper case or upper case among NUMEROUS other options (Power Utility Pak v6 - http://www.j-walk.com/ss/pup/pup6/index.htm).
