I don't program...
I support desktops and servers. Like the Linux User dude (he's a bit off in the head sometimes too...) I also do private clients, mostly Moms and Dads that want a home PC.

And so far the few that asked about or said they wanted Linux have chosen KDE over Gnome. I let them make the decision based on usage. Unlike the LU dude I set the new users up with a dual boot to start. Teach them what they need to know get and allow them to figure out what they like with as little intervention from me as possible. In the end when they are ready, they ask for KDE and to wipe Windows.

It's that simple. You programming types are at best 1% of the entire PC using population. We don't care about QT or whatever else. All we care about is does the stupid thing do what it's advertised to do and with the minimum of fuss on our part. Period end of story.

So 1% of the population trying to dictate to the remaining 99% is just plain against what Open Source is all about. Get it?
