What's wrong with

Trolltech making some money? Not a damn thing. If it works and suits your needs and is within your financial capability then use it. This is the beauty of Open Source.

I have been reading your ravings for sometime. And on occassion you have valid and excellent points and other times (such as now) you are off on a tangent that is the opposite of what you preach.

Open Source is not just about getting free code and apps, it's about choice of license, choice of tools and choice of software.

For the average Joe user they don't care what libraries are behind the GUI and Applications. All they care about is that is just works and they can use it without a major hassle.

As was pointed out by techboy in another post, hardware support (and I have addressed this I am sure) is another issue. But that has to do with corporations not getting on board or wanting to get on board with Linux for what every their reason may be. It's that simple.

Many have but many haven't.
