Another Linux Group - Good Luck
Microsoft Windows dominates the desktop because there is no reason to change. What does Linux bring to desktop PCs that is so new and revolutionary? Is it ease of use? No. Is it more advanced or sophisticated software? No. Is it better security? Yes, but only to a degree. Is it less expensive? Again, Yes, but only to a degree. Is there better support? No. Better compatibility with hardware and software? No. More choices with hardware and software? No. Is it worth the time and money (training, upgrades, deployment, support) to change to Linux? No.

Linux has a lot of potential, but it needs to do more than just "keep up with Windows". It needs it's own identity. We need a Linux that will make us say, "I need that Operating System!"

And sadly, we just don't see that now.
