you make some interesting points. I'll just say that the if ODF has faults, I think the great thing about it is that developers of all walks are not only free to discover them, but to fix them as well. That's the real benefit of really open vs. somewhat open. = Jan 1, 07 is a long enough way off and the stakes are big enough that it's unlikely that IBM and Sun won't see to it that the spec is rock solid. They don't want to let MA down. Thanks again for the really long but thoughtful response. I'm sure there will be many more.
