Is it kill or cure for Oracle's database buy?

if MySQl is a threat to Oracle.....: you can be sure it's a threat to DB2 or sql server. They compete in the same market space so a threat to the one.....is a trheat to the other.

I'm not concerned though. MySQL is a fine databse when you use it where it's apropriate. That niche will be filled by mysql no matter what Oracle does. Existing customers with comercial liscences will not even notice a thing.
