We are talking about Xboxes here right...
not pvr's correct? Yea you don't want something like that coming up in the middle of getting fragged...i do see that tho. Good pt. ha ha

Now were getting into Apples, oranges(win), and Linux boxes....lol. Being that I do like oranges just about as much as Apples (metaphor btw) and as far as Linux...I still only see it in a server enviro where to me its too "cold" for being part of an entertainment system, this is of course just an opinion. Plus I like xbox and upcoming 360 as well...decent games, fairly simple way of networking with people online...I mean its not bad when you look from an average consumers rate as well, not everyone is going to be overly anxious to build a linux box for their multimedia needs. For right now I see MCE for how it is....granted it was free to me, i still see how some of the aspects can be enjoyed simply from turning the box on (it does have a media center only option for start up), able to browse thru your pvr or media collection from the comforts of the couch. Now as far as Linux is concerned ...more complicated then that, with the clutter of having a KB and MSE on the coffee table...almost too complicated for the wife to turn on and simply know what to do without calling me all the time. Being that she is a mid level user and knows alot of fundamentals, just gets frustrated with overly complicated BS. With MCE I don't get any calls and its nice. (now and then she will ask, but not much.)

Also if you have talked with most people with Xboxes...you would find I'm sure 70% don't know much about computers on a Power user level. Usually they had their friend come over and hook it up. While the other 30% go out and mod their own and setup the other 70%'s network's...lol.

Unfortunately I fall into that 30%.
