MythTV is more robust
There is a linux app "MythTV" that supports a client/server model so you can have a group of several systems act as a single unit. This is what I am looking into to have both bedroom / living room systems to share each others recorded content, as well as any thing on my network.
On a personal note, no way would I clog up my wireless traffic streaming HD that would be reserved to the GigE backbone in the basement. Only low-bandwidth MPEG-4 would I even consider on any wireless client.
And why would you game on your PVR? A scheduled recording comes on, and you're fragged!
