What???
> You should buy a publishing package for the power users.

Did you at least read my post? I was trying to do some simple
stuff with tables and quite simple graphs, those are tasks that
should not require power nothing. Table support is OO is
inferior to MS Word. Period. And no, if you want to write simple
documents just use WordPad or pico (LOL)

Now, for some people doing simple word processing is being a
power user????

Not in my opinion. MSO looks a lot better, but it is not perfect,
that's why they are trying to simplfy it. But that does NOT mean
that OO is better in any respect.

> You forget that the life of the average user does

I do not forget anything, I am an average user who need a
competent office suit. If I wew blinded or a zealot, I would not
have even used OO.

And quite frankly that is a lame excuse to hide OO's faults. You
sound a lot like MS with SQL Server 6.5 and the locking issue

> And, yes, MS Office copatibility is a problem

I do not think so. OO advocates try to "sell" us OO like a product
comparable with MS office when in fact it is barely similar to MS
O 97 (nested tables anyone?)

I applaud that, but I have not played with OO2 yet. As soon as I
use it i will give my opinion

So you recognize that with 001 they did not spent ENOUGH time
(their fault) and that it is NOT RIGHT (your own words)

Sample code of what? The source code of MSOffice? Oh I see,
should they do that? Why? I do not see any reason
