According to the article, MS is making O12 easier to user. Does
that jusify training costs for business? Maybe it does, but I still is
not a radicall change compared to migrate to OO2.

Its current look is horrible and simple tasks in OO1.1 like
selecting a column in a table require two steps. It looks primitive
and does not import MSOf documents very well: tables,
graphics, etc and probably more, although, I must admit, they
do an acceptable job considering the product is free but does
not equal to being "good"

Also, I do not see how a new addition to OO can make it
comparable to the professional MS O with Access. It is a new
addition, it should be tried but several groups of users before
that can be corroborated or not. You are rushing too much and
that IS very risky

Finally, I found very few screenshots of that hsql database and
the ones I found are not impressive, although of course, that
does not mean it is not useful and capable
