They forgot the most significant change!
Geez, all that, and they totally forgot about the largest change - the addition of a database component as a separate application, which is vastly more functional than their old database support, which was not much more than a stopgap measure to ensure some database support.

With the addition of Base, their database support is now much more complete, and competitive to Microsoft Access. Tables, queries, forms, reports, etc make Base more complete, functional, and user-friendly than what older versions of OpenOffice.org had. It's also a lot more visible - the database stuff of older versions was essentially hidden (only visible if you hit F4 in existing apps); now it's a separate application, with its own icon.

I look forward to the new release of OpenOffice.org, the best alternative to Microsoft Office.
