Would you feel worse about being disappointed with OpenOffice if you were actually paying for it?

I'm just lame enough to ask if you would come to the same conclusion about a product such as MS Office? Like, is the "new version" going to be that much better than the "old version"? How will the "new version" change what you do? Do you even have the chance of using more than 10% of its features?

And given that chance of thought, is it possible that OpenOffice actually does what you need it to do? What do you want/expect it to do for you?
