What have the Romans ever done for us?
"Meanwhile IBM are donating part of a methodology and a naming
convention?"

Sure they donated the code for the Eclipse IDE, SWT, many of the
Eclipse projects, Eclipse/Apache Tomcat integration, founded the
Eclipse Foundation, much of the IT infrastructure, and now
structured software development processes IP, but what as IBM
done for us?
