Thanks for pointing this out! See, now you're coincidentally getting close to the heart of this problem. In this case, there is a built-in reason for confusion, namely that "JBoss the product" and "JBoss the company" are using the same name! In other words, let's say someone wants to respect the brand and trademark of "JBoss the product" by saying "JBoss[tm]" followed with "JBoss is a trademark of JBoss Inc." (which it isn't, not in the EC anyway, but let's pretend that it is), then WHICH JBoss is it referring to? The one writing "JBoss" may be intending it to refer to "JBoss the product", but JBoss Inc. can always claim that it refers to "JBoss the company" and create a lawsuit for trademark infringement. If I use the line "We provide JBoss training" in my marketing, I would probably be referring to "JBoss the product", but (as is exemplified by the case mentioned in The JBoss Issue) JBoss Inc. can then say "You are illegally using the trademark of JBoss services, so take it away or pay us lots of money". Is this fair? I don't think so.
