I don't think google should be put in the same category as Micro$oft ... while google isn't exactly an open source company, they are a far greater champion of open source than Micro$oft. While they are not ideal, they are the best that open source has at the moment ... so perhaps the open source community should try put some weight behind em ... leastways until something better comes up.

and just for interest try doing the following search in yahoo:
"google openoffice"
