Pretty much the same...
Less filler, more taste. UNIX/Linux can both be slimmed down to the bare essentials where Microsoft can not. I remember in Windows 98 SE that you could not install the OS without Compuserv/AOL clients, even if they were unselected. Same goes for Internet Explorer and .... dun dun dun.. Luna.

The GUI is extremely resource intensive, and poorly re-designed to create more options, but also more work getting to basic options.

And sure you can do a good portion of what you do with the CLI in Windows, but you have to install an additional Support Pack to get those tools, and... even then, they are limited compared to UNIX/Linux.
