Data Grid

Sounds a WHOLE LOT like the semantic web. Both depend on metadata! This is very problematic as most data on the web does NOT have metadata to go with it. You can either;
1) Require everyone to describe every piece of data with metadata or
2) Use some fancy algorithms to attempt to pull metadata out of the data.

Lazy Humans and pie-in-the-sky AI programs will determine THIS outcome . . .
