Pick me...
Office is extremely bloated with thousands of features that
are never, ever used by 95% of users (in fact, probably 99%
of users).

Our office wanted to do a Word mail-merge a couple of
weeks ago - I was the only one who knew how to do it out
of 150 people who use Word every day. And I don't use it
anymore, I use Palm desktop 'cos it allows printing directly
onto the labels much quicker than Word.

Office XP significantly changes the user interface (yet again)
for the worse in my opinion. The last few times they just
shuffled stuff around, this time they added a "web browser"
type look and feel - it's one of the most confused MS have
come up with yet (just try the styles and formatting palette,
you'll get the picture pretty quick).

How many people use styles properly? How many make
document "templates" that are just .doc files to copy and fill
in? When was the last time you had a macro that did
something useful, not tried to force you to do stuff you
could do quicker without the macro?

One day companies are going to realise they don't need a
$500 product to do something a $10 product can do. But
until the "we must have Office 'cos everyone else has it"
mantra is quelled, MS will continue to make record profits
and 99% of Office functionality will continue to go unused.
