I cannot imagine how many surfers' minds were poisoned against X10 for constantly invading people's browser space with intrusive, persistent ads.

Indeed. The company I work for recently decided to install low cost video cameras for security reasons. When the list of possible vendors reached my desk, X10 had somehow made it onto the list.

When it left my desk, X10 was not on the list.

You get one guess why.
