I guess unlike you, I care about people
why should people have to use a $500.00 office package to open a document the recieve, this is why we need a STANDARD...

why should a business need to buy a $500.00 office package because a consumer might send a ms office document?

why is it you care so much about people using ms products? is it in your job description?
