AJAX gives software a fresh look
More flamebait articles at zdnet? Anyways, despite what the article and the clueless author says, AJAX is not out to be the Microsoft killer. My understanding is that Microsoft has been supporting it for years, its just now people are starting to hear of the technology or putting it together.

As for Office applicatons/desktop on the web, won't happen any time soon. Not until internet connections become more reliable, not to mention businesses use more than just an office suite to run. Too many buzzwords and not enough thinking. On that note, I do like the idea of AJAX and from what I've seen its pretty good technology.
