And the Employees?

"For the coming year, the top executives will all get raises in their base salary"

And what do the lower-end employees get as raises and bonuses this year? The gap keeps widening.
(Note: This goes for ANY company, not just MS.)

In 2004, the ratio of average CEO pay to the average pay of a production (i.e., non-management) worker was 431-to-1, up from 301-to-1 in 2003.
In 2001, the ratio of CEO-to-worker pay hit a peak of 525-to-1.

In 1997 average worker pay went up 3 percent. That was less in wages, adjusting for inflation, than in the 1970s.
Back in 1980 the CEO-worker wage gap was much smaller: CEOs made 42 times as much as factory workers.
(CEO "pay" includes stock options and such.)
