Google and any lean OS can be a threat to Intel and Microsoft.
Think about it. Google Desktop with a Java based front end is all you require for doing much of your work. Corporates do not need Pentium 4 with dual cores to run maybe a SAP web based client!! Why just Microsoft, why not do computing with the right tools rather than oversized ones that Intel sells today?

Microsoft will have to see how to make leaner and meaner systems to kill the Google threat. Dont underestimate them but they may need to see the light earlier.
