How to legally by pass copy protections.
How to legally by pass copy protections.

You can using the DMCA as your protection. First off you have to legally in the right to copy the content. Now if anti-piracy measures are stopping you then you have to contact the holder of the copyright. Do this in writing so you have a letter and they have letter. If you get no reponse or a response that will not help you make the copy then you are in the clear to break the copy protection and the DMCA allows this.

Still this doesn't mean you can post something like the DECSS code on you website though with out expecting some kind of reaction by the MPAA. But you can use it to crack copy protections if the movie studio for example refuses or ignores you request for help in making a legitimate copy.
