Calling dog crap a rose doesn't change the stink....
I have removed a piece of software called "Gator Password" which supposedly "remembers" your online passwords for you. It was reported by my Port Blocker to be trying to get back to a Gator server. Was this with the information on passwords that it had gathered? I'll have to investigate deeper.

I have removed a piece of Gator software called "Gator Wallet" that wanted to collect all my financial information like credit card numbers and probably other things as well like PIN numbers but I can't be sure. And my Port Blocker told me it was trying to reach a Gator server. Was this with the information on credit card numbers and PINs that it had gathered? I'll have to investigate deeper.

Oh, wait. I can't investigate deeper as that would be reverse engineering and that would violate the DMCA now wouldn't it. So I have nothing but Gator's word that their software isn't spyware. Wow... I'm sure I can "TRUST" them......

Oh, yeah. I don't know how that software got onto my system. I never saw a EULA or any other agreement. So I didn't agree to allow it onto my system..... If it hadn't been for my port blocker complaining about an unauthorized attempt to connect to a Gator server I wouldn't even have known it was there.

And Gator should pay me for the time it took to remove their "unwanted and unagreed to" crap off my system. It took six hours of my time to track it all down and destroy it.

Now I block it where I can and I don't allow anything onto my system that has even a hint of adware or spyware about it. That camel got into my tent once and almost pushed me out. It ain't getting in again.

I could call a pile of dog crap a rose but it doesn't change the stink any.....
