Designed to trick people into "accepting"
Gator, and other pukeware just like it, is designed to trick people into "agreeing" to install this crud on their systems. I'm pretty careful about installing junk on my system, and I one day found Gator on my system. It must have been hidden along with some unrelated install I did. Fortunately I was able to remove the crud from my system by following some online removal instructions.

I'm sure that if anyone tries to sue Gator for hijacking their system like that, they will simply point out some designed-to-confuse "agreement" the user "agreed" to while installing some unrelated software.

The Gator emplyees must be so proud to work for such a wonderful company! I wonder what those people tell their kids what they do for a living...?
