This quote from the article says it all. I am sure every computer professional and better then 60% of end-users agree that gator is invasive and does in fact install its spy ware to every computer that it can unannounced.

I have seen it wreak havoc on hundreds of computer s and reduce their performance to a crawl, not to mention the fact that the Gator software collects information against the wishes of more then 75% of all adult users.

I hope privacy advocates and all people of reasonable mind ban together and rid the internet of this nuance, setting precedence for internet privacy.

If left unchecked Gator and companies akin to them would love nothing more then to become the sleeping big brother that the general public is unaware of.
