If they didn't have expenses, they would be doing great?
Underwater stock options? MS is bailing out their stock options because obviously they don't expect the market to bail them out. This give one some idea of what to expect from MS in terms of future financial performance. And I wonder just how they will expense that one billion dollars they are giving to the UN in order to try to stem the global Linux tide. MS is desperately trying to buy marketshare. They are in deep trouble in terms of where they go from here. The market knows it, and while IBM hits new highs, MS is struggling to stay at a little over half of its historic high. Competition is good. It is bringing the prices of MS products crashing down and consumers are winning in a big way. Things will only get better as the days go by. If you don't believe it, hang on to your MS stock.
