Good Software Writers... in a hard real world
Your comments are truth, but cross plataform is a ideal goal hardly achieved, mostly by scripts apps or without UI. Design is not the problem, in a real world with GDI, TK, GTK, QT, etc. where every API is attached to different type of technologies (COM, KPARTS, CORBA, etc.) and where, even between Linux distributions exists binary incompatibilities... cross plataform is only a remote dream that only a few companies with huge resources can afford. If someone ask me to change my Win-SQL application to Linux, is useless to response: Which distribution? How many years can you wait me for it?
