Get a clue please

Where do you get that Novell, I am am guessing you mean NetWare, is difficult. They have dumbed it down to a point where secrataries or other non techies can install and run it. I have on person here running her own NetWare server for the last 5 years and she didn't even know what CTRL+C and CTRL+V was. When she saw me do it she was blown away and wanted to know the "secret" techy hacks I had.
No, Netware is not hard to use. It is easy to install it wrong but that will plague any OS. Like installing Home Directories on the windows C: drive, or just giving everyone full access to everything becuase it is easier that way.
As far as a familair interface, you probably have something there and that will always be Microsofts arguement, Windows servers are more familiar and that will always be the case becuase you can't just outright copy MS GUI. Sure you can come close, like KDE or GNome, but you get to close and MS will hit you upside the head with the lawsuit bat.
Just an FYI, Novell has several, some would say to many tools, to manage their system starting with Webbased you have Imanager and Remote manager, Croseeplatform fat client based is ConsoleOne, Windows based NWAdmin and finally the client tools you get with Netware client. The problem is that people think that you need to be at the server to manage a server and Netware has, since 4.x, been a the Centrallized server with decentralized management.
