Rep delivered a briefing this morning...
I was made aware of this re-org several weeks ago as part of my weekly "Top Secret Clearance" briefings. However, as soon as the news was official my rep called me to the Redmond campus for lunch and an immediate understanding of how this affected our company. Because we are 100% Microsoft, my rep assured me that things would continue to move along as smoothly as in the past. In order to guarantee the same level of support, I offered to sign another 10 year support agreement, for the period from 2020-2030. My rep told me to pay the proposed 2020 USD amount and I told him not a problem. The bottom line is this: Steve Ballmer is a true genius. I have watched his speeches, I have shaken his hand and I have looked into his eyes. What I see is someone who will stop at nothing to make the Windows Vista eXPerience second to none. It is an honor to pay such a man. And to Jim Allchin, all I can say is THANK YOU. Thank you for being there for us when we needed you. From everyone here, I wish you the best. I feel myself getting a little misty-eyed, my rep is taking me to dinner.
