This is assuming that the Feds has not already started snooping/filtering the text-based legit emails. wink

In either case, schemes like TEA doesn't really stop anyone from reading the mail once the key is known, and the key is definitely known at the server. In this case, it maybe able to deter snoopers whom has no server access, but try to extract text by intercepting the signals at ports.

But the main feature is that if someone encrypts the message with a fake IP (different from the detected one at server), the message will be garbage on the receiving end.
