Two problems with that solution
It *may* make it harder to read legitimate e-mail that has been encrypted based on the silly filters AOL insists on running. It could also give the Feds a reason to snoop the legit mail because of the encryption.

Now that there ase all those zombie machines out there, the whole filter thing is moot. If your best friend's machine has become a Spam factory, you will get some of the output no matter what because the e-mail is legit. Better to invest in good virus and spyware software and run them often.
