i dont understand the comparison? Because they both use
PPC processors? You want to compare the price difference
in Linux and Mac OS X?

Macs use PPC processors, yes, but there are a few more
differences in other PPC machines, like IBM makes. You
cannot load Mac OS on just any old PPC processor machine.
