Remember though, that Photoshop is a very expensive program,
one that is aimed primarily at the professional market. The
original post was about displacing Photoshop from this particular
market.

I agree with you that there's room for the lower market--non-
professionals who don't need the power of Photoshop and don't
want to lay out the same expense for a tool that goes far beyond
their needs.
