The fallacies stand
You said that you bought the CD burner but one is not required to actually enjoy your tunes. You decide to buy the burner which can be used for more purposes than burning music so this is a personal decision and not one that you had to make. Therefore, you cannot blame the iTunes service for your extra incurred cost.

Your other falacy was in another post where you equate the cost of your Internet access into the cost of the music. Since you obviously use the Internet for more than just accessing and downloading music you are incorrectly ammortizing/assigning the cost to iTunes. I suspect that if you added up all your other Internet usage and compared it to downloading and burning a CD you'd find that your other Internet access usage far outweighs your iTunes access and usage.

I mean, you probably pay between 30.00 and 50.00 USD for Internet access. IF you claim an average of 25 CDs a year for burning AND you are on broadband, you are literally spending approximately 115.55 minutes downloading from your ISP. Considering that there are 525,600 minutes per year, you are spending 2.2% of your paid time online downloading music...

And if you are only getting two years of life out of your CD burner I suggest you look into better hardware. My Plextor has lasted over three years and has burned thousands of CDs.
