- Ellison is trying to save the business
- With Oracle losing more market share to Microsoft every quarter and with SQL 2005 ready to take on the enterprise in a big way, Ellison is looking for ways to keep the cash flow coming in. Remember Novell buying WordPerfect for the cash flow. It did not work for Novell and it won't work for Oracle. Innovation and price earn customers in the long term.
