UnitedLinux
I checked on SCO's website, and they still claim to be partners in UnitedLinux (go to "Products & Services" | "Linux" | "UnitedLinux"). It beggars belief that a company with so much animosity toward the (allegedly) anti-constitutional GPL and Linux in general still boasts on their website about membership in a Linux distribution partnership. Even if SCO has a case against IBM (or the rest of the world), there is no excuse for this kind of bad behavior. SCO seems bent on harming as much as it can, regardless of whether it is relevant to their core business or not. Perhaps SCO can be compared to a prostitute with AIDS who gets caught by the police and then tries to spit on them. Such behavior could not possibly help the prostitute escape from the police, but she knows she is doomed and just wants to hurt as many people as possible on the way down. There may be an unseen motivation for all of SCO's bad faith. I have heard many conspiracy theories that attempt to explain the irrational thrashings of this tiny company. But perhaps the real reason is much more simple: SCO is run by bad people, and bad people do bad things. It is easy to see just by looking at their actions, for example SCO's interference with UnitedLinux. Much like the AIDS-addled prostitute mentioned, SCO executives may be primarily motived by money, but because they are bad people, there is a is a spillover of avarice coming from SCO that has nothing to do with the bottom line.
