Not a big deal, but an important point
I'm not criticizing your point at all (in fact quite the opposite). But according to the article, this certification applies to any IBM _Series machines (see part of the article below).

"The certification will apply to the SLES software that runs on all IBM server lines--its zSeries mainframes, xSeries Intel-based servers, iSeries midrange servers, pSeries Unix servers and the eServer 325, which uses Advanced Micro Devices' Opteron processors, the source said."

The reason this is important is that IBM is noted for security; especially on mainframes. Mainframes are built from the ground up to be secure. Since the platforms are not all the same, this indicates to me that the underlying software is a big reason for the certification. It is no wonder mainframes could meet this certification. But the others are another story...
