Problem is, Microsoft tends to strip important features (or add limitations) along with its prices. I assume if these companies aren't already using Windows, they're probably using Linux. Linux retains its features and doesn't add limitations, and still maintains lower prices.

As long as it remains this way, Microsoft is going to make no progress, simply because the competition is offering a full-featured product at a lower price.
