Let me explain
MS doesn't go around "making" people MVP's.

MVP's basically come into existence because they are people who support MS for a living and choose to spend a *lot* of time in newsgroups helping others.

So, it is pretty safe to assume these people are ALREADY MS supporters using only or primarily MS solutions.

Since it takes a HUGE amount of time to provide enough newsgroup support for MS to notice you and want to make you an MVP, it is also fairly likely these people are mostly consultants and independents and not members of large IT staffs.

Even if they were, given the amount of time these people have dedicated to learning and supporting MS software, it is highly unlikely they are going to just up and switch because someone else marketed to them or MS didn't.

Nice try, but you are missing the point.

This is just a publicity stunt by MS, showing old O/S code to a few of the extremely faithful while they are off working on the new one.
